Different kind of spinach has contain good source nutrients. Spinach contains iron, calcium, antioxidant, vitamin A, B and C. Its fast growing plant through spring to fall. I sow some spinach seeds in our back yard this year. Its growing well, some of the leaves and stems are pinkish.

It's known as we called in Tamil mulaikkeerai (முளைக்கீரை). It's leaves has good nutrient such as rich iron, calcium. folic acid and other nutrients.

Celestia or cock's comb plants are annual plants, many vibrant colors like magenta, yellow, red and orange. These beautiful plants are growing in our garden. But two years ago growing in urn nicely.

Orange Day Lily Flower

Lily blooms are very beautiful, different kind and different colors. Lily is highlighted along the rose of Sharon bush and chives in our backyard garden. Day lily flowers are very attractive shaded orange color in our garden.

Anthurium plant

I have made two of these plants Anthurium and Orchid plants from my Son. Anthurium flowers are shown in redish, pink, peach and white. These flowers are very attractive, shiny and waxy, flower stems are about 10-20 inches loge. Its leaves are attractive and greenish and long stem.

This evergreen gold dust Croton will grows 6' - 8' tall and sprout form the rear of the plant.This

This beautiful big plant has dark green leaves with golden spotted. When the plant's leaves will get more shade, shown a good gold sprinkles and spatter painting.

It was planted in our home indoor, large pot, and survived for 4 years. The summer time we took the out door. We forgot the plant outside, for long fall time.

Visted to Montreal

My husband and I visited to Montreal, for our nieces wedding ceremony. We went to the church of Our Lady of Deliverance. Our niece's wedding was celebrated at Our Lady of Deliverance church in Montreal. Another day is our wedding anniversary. Beautiful blooms in front of the church, and very thoughtful day of our wedding anniversary mass was celebrated over at that church.
We got some pictures of the flowers in front of the church.

Four O'clock Flower (Marvel Peru, நான்கு மணி பூ, அந்தி மந்தாரை)

Like this beautiful 4 o'clock flower, blooming in our back yard around pears tree and along the veggie plants. Its botanical name is Mirabilis Jalapa and also North and South America called Marvel, Peru. Different color varieties of the flower, and different colored blossom on the same plant. In Tamil Nadu Peoples called this flower named as Anthi Mantharai(அந்தி மந்தாரை).

It is blooming time of 4 o'clock, in the middle of the afternoon, some of them bloom evening 8 - 10 o'clock, and closes early in the morning. Or little bit earlier on a cloudy afternoon.

This is the first time leak bloom in our garden. Each leak flower is shown up dozens of tiny blooms, each flower made seeds. Also, this long stem flower stalks are grow up about 2' tall. I love the leak flower in our vegetable garden. Leaks are mostly flower in their 2nd year.

I like hibiscus plant in our back home Srilanka, we hold different assortments and different colors it there. This plant grows easily as most likely tons of sunshine and plenty of humidity. We posses 3 different colors in Canada. It bloom nicely, the purple one has tons of primes.Two years ago one of the friend gave us two plants, it's growing in front of our house.

At summer time 2008, I made a crochet work for my relaxing and concentrate something useful. I really don't know I could do with yarn and needle. I felt like I want to do something for my interesting work. I bought some different color yarns and three different size needles. I scrolled down some crochet patterns, then print out them to make. Consumed the time was very quite learn and fun to create flowers, coasters, Book marker, Phone cover, purse, bags and more.

Carrots can go on, our daily basis food such as salad, soups, curry, fry and stews. It has contain high carotene and vitamin A.

Jam Fruit in Srilanka

Our homeland jam tree is real large and full of shade in front of our home. It is memorable in our home full of shade, birds and squirrels are eating these fruits.

Jam tree native to central and south America. Commonly this fruit is round shape and small. Its botanical name is Muntingia calabura. This tree about 6- 10" tall, and its leaves are shredded, flowers are small and white.

When we back to to visit Srilanka, to chance to get these fruits in one of the hotels.
